This story was written by a woman who grew up on a farm in North Hastings County in the 1940’s and 1950’s. She relates stories from the years to the best of her memory. She has also included stories of her life up to the present day.

This is Donna’s first book. After reading several books by other authors, relating to the old days, she just felt she had to record her stories.    Many of those stories reminded her of her childhood. The more she read the more memories came flooding back to her!

It became very important to her to put these stories into print so her kids, grandkids and great grandkids would have a record. As the world is changing so fast, many of the stores will sound  almost foreign to the younger kids.    Although her stories may sound like she had a hard upbringing, she does not see it that way!    There was not a lot of money but she had a happy childhood and a loving upbringing!        She has many great memories and is happy she was raised on a farm!
